Hyde is former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (DUSDI); and Miller is expert in strategic planning, and financial services.

Palo Alto, Calif. April 21, 2016—IdentityMind Global, the pioneer in trusted digital identities for ecommerce, today announced the appointments of Reginald Hyde and Kyle L. Miller to the company’s Board of Advisors. Hyde and Miller join a team of experienced business and technology leaders who will work with IdentityMind Global president and CEO, Garrett Gafke to guide the company’s security capabilities and business strategy.

IdentityMind Global president and CEO, Garrett Gafke said, “We are very pleased to welcome Reg and Kyle to our advisory board. Each brings a unique and deep expertise across security, technology, finance and corporate development that will help guide and shape our strategy as we achieve global leadership in the protection of online commerce and financial transactions.”

Mr. Hyde brings decades of national security career experience having worked in senior positions at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and within the broader U.S. intelligence community. Mr. Hyde is currently the Executive Director of the University of Alabama Cyber Institute. Previously, Mr. Hyde served as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security (DUSDI), and Deputy to the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence. In this role, Mr. Hyde oversaw the intelligence elements of the Uniformed Military Services, the Combat Support Agencies, including the National Security Agency, National Geospatial Agency, and the Defense Intelligence Agency, and the Combatant Commands.

In 2000, as the Directorate of Operations representative, Mr. Hyde helped stand up In-Q-Tel (IQT), the strategic venture arm of the U.S. intelligence community that uses venture capital methods to acquire cutting-edge technology. In 2009, he rejoined In-Q-Tel as a member of the Executive Team, and as advisor to the CEO. He has led technology searches for new companies and participated in investment decisions, focusing primarily on various aspects of cyber technology as well as big data and advanced analytics.

Mr. Hyde holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama.

“IdentityMind’s offering is well-timed with the rapid increase in demand for trusted digital identities that enable ecommerce, online lending and secure payment ecosystems that must accurately determine identities in real time to ensure frictionless commerce while avoiding fraud, money laundering and identity theft,” said Reginald Hyde.

Mr. Miller is the founder and managing member of 1728 Advisory Group LLC, a Greenwich, Connecticut-based private investment and strategic advisory firm.  Since forming 1728 Advisory Group in 2012, Mr. Miller has provided advisory services to CEOs and entrepreneurs in the areas of business plan development and execution, strategic planning, capital raising and corporate governance across a broad array of industries.  Mr. Miller also serves as a mentor and advisor to start-up companies emerging from Columbia Business School’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program.

Prior to forming 1728 Advisory Group, Mr. Miller served for nine years as president and CEO of an early-stage, financial services company, Hudson Castle Group.  Under his leadership, Mr. Miller turned Hudson Castle into an industry leader in providing debt funding advice and solutions to the premier universal commercial and investment banks in the U.S and Europe.  Under his leadership, Hudson Castle’s portfolio of assets under administration scaled to $38 billion within five years of Mr. Miller joining the firm.  Mr. Miller arranged for the sale of Hudson Castle’s strategic assets in 2011.

Mr. Miller holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Columbia University School of Business, and he is a graduate of Dickinson College where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.

Kyle Miller added, “I believe the market will shift toward IdentityMind’s approach to electronic DNA as financial institutions, currency exchanges and merchants look for ways to differentiate their products among consumers in ways that ensure trust, compliance and ease of doing business. I’m excited to collaborate with Garrett and his team and support IdentityMind as they work to build a great company in an exciting category.”
