Tokeny’s investorID Standard Simplifies KYC and AML Compliance in ‘Tokenized Securities’
IdentityMind, digital identities you can trust, has partnered with investorID, a decentralized application allowing investors to generate their on-chain identity to access and trade compliant tokenized securities. This partnership enables Security Token Offering (STO) issued using the T-REX (Token for Regulated EXchanges) Ethereum standard to have access to IdentityMind’s compliance and risk management capabilities.
KYC and AML compliance are critical in any STO. This agreement helps ensure that Tokeny’s customers have access to IdentityMind’s KYC and AML capabilities to validate investor participation and transfer this data into investorID. Investors can use this application to create their on-chain identity, keep complete control of their personal data, whilst ensuring issuers are acting in full compliance.
Tokeny CEO, Luc Falempin commented, “This partnership reflects the growing ecosystem of investorID, a not-for-profit application we recently launched. The top providers of KYC and AML information are joining one by one to give the tokenized securities issuers the best choices available in the market. By joining the investorID ecosystem, these identity providers have the opportunity to work with issuers using the T-REX Ethereum standard.”
“Trust is critical in maintaining the momentum of digital asset transactions,” said Jose Caldera, Chief Products and Marketing Officer, IdentityMind. “Since our founding we have helped companies identify the good guys — those they want to do business with, while avoiding the bad guys. Working together with Tokeny’s investorID standard, we bring these capabilities to investorID, and with it, the required transparency, integrity, and compliance.”
investorID works as an open system that aggregates identity validation solutions and allows digital assets issuers to confidently access and trade securities in accordance to regulations. On the buy-side, investorID enables users to create their own re-usable identity to access and trade compliant digital assets.
The Luxembourg based fintech company is the market-leader in delivering an institutional grade, secure end-to-end platform, allowing for the issuance and servicing management of digital assets.
Tokeny utilizes the T-REX (Token for Regulated EXchanges) infrastructure to ensure compliance from the issuance of tokenized securities to their lifecycle management. Tokeny provides technical solutions to onboard investors, manage corporate actions such as dividends, voting, and announcements. Their solutions ensure continuity with regards to KYC and AML compliance checks, ensuring all participants are eligible for the investment.
Tokeny’s solution leverages blockchain technology and couples it with decades of experience from the traditional securities world. Tokeny utilizes this background to make the participation of any contributor in a security token offering transparent, accessible, and completely secure.
